Born in 1977, Henry Whysall was brought up in Antwerp, Belgium. Following his degree in architecture, he took a degree in Fine Arts at Central Saint Martin, London. Babel, one of the works of his degree show, was bought by the corporate collectors Clerical Medical. As so often with new artists introduced to me by my second in command Cécile Menon, I can't really pretend to understand what he is up to, but I feel a visceral reaction, as when suddenly faced with a falling building that lands at my feet in an interesting pattern. Henry Whysall is now based in London, running his own studio and working part-time as a bookseller. He can be contacted at <henrymwhysall[at]hotmail.com>
